The joys of living in southern California

This arrived in the mail this week:


It is a booklet informing me that I live in a high fire risk zone, and that they will start doing random, unscheduled inspections to make sure our yards are in compliance with fire code. Amongst other things, the fire code dictates that you can't have lots of uncleared lawn crap and whatnot if you live as close to your neighbors as I do. If you are not in compliance, then you get fined.
